San Antonio – Texas

Well, we didn’t have the best weather while we were in San Antonio. It was about 40 degrees and rainy, but we made the most of our time!

After leaving Jacob’s Well Natural Area, we headed south to San Antonio. We checked into our hotel, the Omni La Mansion del Rio, which was located right on the iconic River Walk. I highly recommend this hotel since the location is fantastic and it is a beautiful, historic hotel. Even the valet was super friendly and gave us a tip to park across the street in the Houston Garage to save some money!

We decided to walk to dinner and passed by the beautiful San Fernando Cathedral. I highly recommend seeing it at night when it is lit up. It was stunning!

We walked through the historic Market Square and had dinner at Mi Tierra Café y Panaderia.

The next morning, we were totally twinning LOL. We dressed alike without even realizing!

We found our favorite bakery just a few blocks down from the hotel called La Panaderia. They have the best pastries! Our favorite was the one in the middle since it had fresh strawberries and cream! We split everything so we could try a lot of different things! =)

We then walked to the Alamo and toured the historic grounds.

We also visited four other historic missions so stay tuned for that post HERE!

One of my favorite things we did was visit the Love Lock Bridge. We stopped at Walmart and bought a set of two locks and a paint pen LOL. You are supposed to visit the bridge with your special someone and place a lock on the fence to secure your love. Well Amy and I both have our guys who were back at home along with our pups so we left our locks on the bridge to remind us of them!

We also did a River Walk boat tour, but my favorite part was just walking along the River Walk and seeing all of the beautiful plants and architecture.

Overall, we had a great day and a half in San Antonio! The next morning we headed towards Austin, Texas!
