Last summer we spent a week exploring Arkansas and our travels led us to Lake Catherine State Park near Hot Springs Arkansas. All of the hiking trails take off from one trail head so make sure to follow the signs for the trail that you want to be on. We chose to hike the Falls Branch Trail which is about 2 miles round trip. This trail leads through the forest and passes by a seasonal waterfall.
Once the trail starts heading back towards the trail head, the trail follows along the edge of the lake.
There is also a neat swinging bridge along the way =)
