On my way to Spring Mill State Park, I traveled through Shoals, Indiana. There are a few points of interest to check out.

I first stopped at Overlook Park, which is right along US Highway 50. It’s a great place to get out and stretch your legs and check out the new overlook platform.

Also, we stopped at Jug Rock, which is the tallest free-standing table rock formation east of the Mississippi River. You can park in a small pull-off along US Highway 50 at the intersection of Albright Drive. A very short trail descends to the base of the rock feature. Not knowing what to expect, this was a near roadside attraction!

We also really wanted an ice cream cone since it was so hot, so we stopped at Bo-Mac’s Drive-In, which had the feel of an old-school drive-in. The girls working were super friendly, so be sure to check it out if passing through!

There are a few other places in the area to check out that I added to my list, like the Martin State Forest and Hindostan Falls!
Looks like you & Ellie had a nice time! Very pretty roadside attractions!~
